The strategy identifies opportunities for an additional 3,500 dwellings across Goulburn and Marulan which are expected to be required through until 2036.
Goulburn Mulwaree Council considered and included two amendments to this strategy.
The strategy will now come back to the council for adoption at the meeting on July 21.
Rezoning 59-61 Hovell Street, Goulburn
Goulburn Mulwaree Council endorsed a planning proposal to rezone this land to R1 General Residential with a minimum alotment size of 1000 square metres. It will now be forwarded to the Department of Planning and Environment for determination. The council also endorsed, in principle, the layout of a 30-lot subdivision on the site.

Goulburn will host the 2021 Youth Conference from September 17 to 19.
The council allocated $25,000 to sponsor the event including booking fees for any Council venue to be used for the event.
2020 Steampunk Victoriana Fair
The 2020 Steampunk Victoriaina Fair has been cancelled this year due to the effects of COVID-19 restrictions.
This year's budget is to be transferred to an Events Reserve for use towards the 2021 event or an alternate event at the Goulburn Historic Waterworks.
Financial Assistance
Goulburn Mulwaree Council will support the Rotary Club of Goulburn for the 2020 Southern Tablelands Science & Engineering Challenge with a cash contribution of $3000.
The council will also make a cash donation of $2,479 to the Bungonia & District Historical Society for their project to install a plaque at the Bungonia Cemetery.
Council Hardship Policy and COVID-19
The council's Hardship Policy was amended to allow businesses or residents who can demonstrate an income decrease in the first half of 2020 to apply to pay their rates and charges over an extended period. For more information refer to the updates in the minutes or visit the council's website.
