Friends and family remembered Mr Jocelyn as a 'dynamic personality' and a 'force to be reckoned with around town'.

His former colleague at the radio station, Lynda Hallam, warmly remembers him as someone who always brought out the best in his staff.

Mrs Hallam was working as a cadet journalist at 2GN when Mr Jocelyn was the general manager from 1981-86.

"As a young employee, I learnt a lot from him. He had a vision and always motivated his staff to do their best. On several occasions, Chris organised evenings with motivational speakers," she said.

Mr Jocelyn's son Blair, while talking to the Goulburn Post, said that his father enjoyed his time living and working in Goulburn.

"We lived about half an hour out of town in an old house that was falling apart when we moved in. The roof was coming off and if you weren't careful, you'd fall through the floor because the boards were so old and decayed," he said.

"There were two bullet holes in the front wall that had been hastily repaired for a quick sale. If you imagine a house from a horror movie, that's what this place looked like. Mum and dad put in a lot of effort to fix up the place and make it a home for our family of six.

"And one of the strange things, was that if you ever wanted something to play with, you could just dig up the yard. There were little mounds of dirt around the property and on digging them up we found someone had buried toys and other things in the yard."

Blair added that his father's experience at 2GN paved the way for the continuation of his career at 2CH in Sydney.

"After working for 2GN, he moved into data security but continued as a mentor and board member on a number of radio stations in Sydney," he added.

Blair is a presenter on the YouTube series Mighty Car Mods, that he made with his friend Marty.

"My father had extensive experience with media, advertising, and broadcast so he always had lots of great advice for me while navigating my own career on YouTube," he said.

"He was always interested in technology and got me my first reel to reel tape recorder so I could learn how to record and splice analogue tape."

After his father's demise, he recently visited the radio station where his father had worked and met his former colleagues.

"Coming back 35 years later, it was amazing to meet the current staff at 2GN, some of whom had worked with my father back in the 1980's," he said.

"The station holds a special place in my family's history and it was lovely to be welcomed by people who knew my mum and dad. They referred to my dad as a 'force to be reckoned with around town'."
