There's a changing of the guard at Tallong Public School.
Emily Morrow, who has been the relieving principal, officially took over from Scott Osborne a few weeks ago, and has already had an impact on the small regional school.
The former relieving principal at Wingello Public School said she was glad to be able to successfully get the job at Tallong due to her time at Wingello.
"I knew a lot about Tallong Public School having been exposed to the Goulburn area when I was at Wingello," Ms Morrow said.
"I was also keeping my eye out for some roles in the Goulburn network and was stoked to be the successful candidate."
Ms Morrow was also previously an instructional leader at Campbelltown Network and the former assistant principal at Lindfield Public School, which consisted of over 900 students, but loves the fact that there are only 64 students enrolled at Tallong.
"In a small school, I like how I can really get to know the community and the students on a deeper level," Ms Morrow said.
"I can liaise with them and establish a genuine connection and relationship with them.
"I also want to get into the classroom to keep up the instructional leadership role by working with the teachers as we continue to refine our practice."
In Tallong Public School's latest newsletter, the Tallong Teller, Ms Morrow wrote about how much she had loved the school.
"To say I have loved my time so far would be an understatement," she said.
"It is a beautiful little school and I highly value the relationship between the staff and you as the community.
"I would like to thank you for being so welcoming and I will continue to work collaboratively alongside you to get the very best for our students."

Mr Osborne had a departing message in a recent column of the school newsletter.
"I would like to say that I am so glad for the opportunity I have had here." he said.
"I wanted to help make Tallong an outstanding small school and the one that stands out in the area and I hope this has been achieved.
"I am so proud of the staff and the way they have embraced changes, including all new curriculums, professional learning and now even the physical structure of the school is changing, but in an exciting way.
"I am proud of the culture we have now with the students and the community."
He believes the school is very lucky to have Ms Morrow.
