The incident occurred early on June 28.
At about 11.55am, emergency services and ambulance were called to the scene near Tiyces Lane.
The call out was prompted by police who were alerted to an incident where a 4WD and Volkswagen Beetle had collided on the northbound lane.
There was a slight back up of traffic on the northbound lane, but that was cleared soon after.
A 47 year-old woman was taken by road ambulance to Goulburn Base Hospital.
She was then airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a serious condition.
A Hume Police District police spokesperson has since told The Goulburn Post that the woman was currently in a stable condition.
The spokesperson said the woman was the only person in her vehicle.
Police said no charges had been laid at this stage and the investigations into the crash was ongoing.
