These Goulburn-based writers, between the age of 10-12 years, have written plays about issues that are important to them as part of the Mighty Playwrights project.
"Themes of friendship, family, and triumph over adversity run strongly through all 11 plays, along with some wonderful humour, singing and dancing, and even some slow-motion kung-fu," Erin Williams, Goulburn Mulwaree Library manager said.

"Every child has a story worth telling. The project is about inspiring young people to discover the power of their own thoughts and voices through storytelling and the power of the imagination."
The children worked one-on-one with their mentors for 10 weeks, who helped them narrate the stories in their own individual style.
"Some of them are true stories, others have elements drawn from their school or home life," Miss Williams said.
When the library received a grant funding through Festivals Australia for the project, the original plan was to have a live performance in the theatre by adult actors in March this year. However, everything was put on hold due to COVID-19.
"Now, we will have a film version of Mighty Playwrights performances. The adult actors will don the costumes and perform in an empty theatre. These performances will be filmed by a Goulburn-based filmmaker," Miss Williams said.
The rehearsals have started and the first performance will take place at the end of July.

Meanwhile, interviews will be conducted with the young writers and their mentors about the writing and mentoring processes, stories, and plays.
"We will create a documentary narrating these experiences and will include interviews along with the live performances. It will be put up online so that everyone can watch it."
A book with the scripts of these plays will also be published by the end of the year.
The project is run by Goulburn Mulwaree Library, in partnership with the Lieder Theatre Company, Greg Angus, and Field and Film.
The project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Department of Communications and the Arts' Festivals Australia program.
