Officer in charge of Goulburn Police Station Inspector Matthew Hinton urged people to call the police station if they heard or saw fireworks.
He said the Hume Police District had received some phone calls in relation to fireworks.

"What we ask the public to do is call us if they see or hear fireworks," he said.
"If we attend we can examine the remnants of the fireworks for fingerprints or DNA.
"It's important we get called so we can come and do that analysis."
