The initiative has been introduced in Goulburn venues to help crack down on alcohol fuelled assaults and anti-social behaviour by the Goulburn Liquor Accord.
The Goulburn Liquor Accord consists of licensed premises including hotels, registered clubs and bottle shops in the Goulburn area.
If a person is involved in a serious incident or is repeatedly causing trouble in, or around, a licensed premise they can expect to be barred from all licensed venues in the area. This barring will include hotels, registered clubs, bars, restaurants, bottle shops and sporting clubhouses.
Barred From One, Barred From All will see patrons barred for a minimum of three months, with a maximum life ban, from all participating venues and businesses depending on the severity of the act.
Officer in charge of Goulburn Police Station Inspector Matthew Hinton said people went out to have a good time and they didn't deserve it to be ruined by violent acts.
"We want people to be safe in our town and be responsible for their actions. We will not tolerate bad behaviour that not only breaches the law, but can put people lives at risk" he said.
"Multi-venue barring is a strategy our accord will use to make our venues safer and enjoyable for our community. Clubs and pubs will have a system in place to share information about banned persons.
"Its simple, if you play up, refuse to leave and the police are called, you not only get a $550 fine, but you won't be going out with friends at any licensed premise for the next few months in Goulburn.
Inspector Hinton said if someone was involved in an act of violence they would be banned for a longer period of time.

"The Hume Police District fully supports the Goulburn Liquor Accord and its members in their endeavours to promote safe and responsible drinking and reducing alcohol related crime by introducing this policy," he said.
