All road users should be able to arrive safely at their destinations.
Driving safely requires, skill, concentration, and clear judgment.
Many people underestimate the dangers of driving and take the responsibility for granted, placing themselves and other road users at risk.

Over the last month, he Hume Police District officers have been alarmed to see that some people still think it is okay to drive after drinking.
We have seen blood alcohol readings in the extreme high range.
This type of behaviour places all road users at great risk.
The potential for a fatality to occur increases tenfold due to these high blood alcohol readings.
The facts and figures relating to the risks of drink driving on our country roads paint a concerning picture.
Studies show that 79 per cent of alcohol related fatal crashes occur on country roads. 93 per cent of the drink drivers killed in those crashes were men and 57 per cent of those men were under the age of 40.
I have previously written about the effects on a rural community and the monetary costs for a single road death.
Every road death costs the community $4.34 million dollars.
I would think that the cost of a fatal crash on your family would be something that you could not put a price on, and the effects would be never ending.
Please think of your family next time you go to get in the car to drive after drinking.
If you are going to drink, it's really quite simple, DON'T DRIVE!
