In 2018, detectives from the State Crime Command's Financial Crimes Squad established Strike Force Lallat to investigate reports of fraudulent activity by a former employee of an NSW government organisation.
Following extensive inquiries, detectives arrested a 38-year-old man at Goulburn Police Station on Tuesday 12 May 2020.
Police will allege in court that the man claimed he had completed a university course, relevant to his position, during his employment.
It will be further alleged the man submitted fraudulent university invoices and documents to the value of more than $20,000 for payment by his employer.
The man was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Queanbeyan Local Court on Monday, July 6.
