It is illegal to ride motorcycles, or drive other vehicles, on all council parks and reserves. They can negatively impact the community in a number of ways including: noise, dust, erosion and impact on the safety of others using these reserves.
The council has invested significantly in parks and sporting fields for the enjoyment of all residents and community members, and the use of motorcycles can create significant negative impacts quite quickly.
Police who catch residents undertaking these activities are able to apprehend, arrest and issue penalties to the person found riding illegally.
This reminder comes after a spate of reports of motorcycles being used on reserves, including footage uploaded to private social media pages. Goulburn police have been notified and asked to undertake further patrols of these areas.
