One north-bound lane remains closed after a B-double truck and two cars crashed on the Hume Highway at Lachlan Valley Way, Bowning.
A Transport Management Centre spokesperson said traffic remained heavy in the area.
They said the truck was on its side and "salvage will take some time".
The spokesperson said the truck was carrying fozen food products.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 8:10am this morning.
A spokesperson from NSW Ambulance said three patients had been taken to Yass and Canberra Hospital in a stable condition.
They said a 53 year old male had sustained lower back injuries, a 46 year old male had minor head and left left leg injuries, and a 59 year old woman had chest and ankle injuries with paramedics taking spinal precautions.
