A Corrective Services spokeswoman confirmed that the inmate injured in Thursday's stabbing was returned to custody this afternoon.
Police investigations are continuing.
Update Friday 10.45am
An inmate who was stabbed at Goulburn Correctional Centre yesterday remains in Canberra Hospital.
The Post understands the altercation between the 31-year-old and a 21-year-old inmate occurred in the maximum security section.
The former was stabbed in the neck with what was believed to be a jail-made weapon.
Police have not laid any charges at this stage.
Update Thursday 6.15pm
Police continue to investigate a stabbing at Goulburn Correctional Centre.
A police media spokeswoman said a 31-year-old inmate was stabbed in the neck. She described his injuries as minor and non-life threatening. He was in a stable condition in Canberra Hospital, where he was flown after 3.30pm.
Corrective Services said the stabbing occurred in the main part of the facility.
Update Thursday 4.40pm
Corrective Services have confirmed that a 31-year-old inmate at Goulburn Correctional Centre has been airlifted to Canberra Hospital with stab wounds after a fight in accommodation unit three at 1.50pm this afternoon.
"A 21-year-old inmate has been placed in segregation pending investigations," a spokeswoman said.
"NSW Police has been notified."
The injured inmate was believed to have been stabbed in the upper body.
Update Thursday 3.30
A NSW Police spokesperson confirmed emergency services were called to Goulburn Correctional Facility at 2pm after reports a man had been injured.
The man has since been taken to hospital on the TOLL helicopter, which landed inside the grounds.Two ambulances left the facility at about 3.30pm.
Detectives from the Hume Police District are commencing an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Emergency services have been called to Goulburn Correctional Centre.
A NSW Police Media spokeswoman confirmed there has been "an incident".
The spokeswoman could not elaborate on its nature.
However it is believed to be a stabbing, according to several sources.
A NSW Ambulance Media spokesman said three NSW Ambulance crews are currently on scene and a TOLL Ambulance Rescue Helicopter is en-route.
The spokesman said they received the call before 2pm.
