Well, you can if you join ABC's Heywire competition and share a story about your experiences of living in regional NSW.
The national writing competition called Me So Far is for those aged between 16 and 22, but accompanying that is a local competition run by Goulburn Mulwaree Council (GMC) for those aged between 12 and 25.
GMC youth services coordinator Luke Wallace hoped those living in Goulburn and surrounds would take part in it as it would be a good opportunity to showcase not only their story, but the town as well.
"It's a great opportunity for them to share their story," Mr Wallace said.
"It's also a good way to learn new skills.
"Sharing stories can also have the power to help others as well.
"You may not think your story is important, but that could have a huge impact on someone else's life."
The rules of the competition are simple and Mr Wallace gave suggestions as to what could be included in the story.
"The only requirement is that it needs to be a true story about what life is like living in regional NSW," he said.
"It can be a happy or sad story.
"It might be about their experiences at school or living on a farm."
To help the participants, workshops will be run by both Heywire and the Goulburn Mulwaree Library staff.
"We will be running four workshops to help them develop skills as a writer," Mr Wallace said.
"These workshops are completely free and will be run online over Zoom from 4.30pm to 5.30pm."
The first two workshops run by Heywire are on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 11 and 19, while the other two are on Monday, August 24 and September 7.
The winners of each region across the country for the Heywire competition will win an all expenses paid trip to Canberra for a conference and their story may be produced for ABC radio or television.
First place in the local competition will receive a $500 gift card, the runner up will win a $300 gift card, $150 is for the second runner up and two $25 gift cards will be given out too.
To enter, fill out the entry form at https://www.goulburn.nsw.gov.au/Community/Youth-Services#section-3 before attaching it to your story and emailing it to caitlin.muddiman@goulburn.nsw.gov.au
The competition closes on Tuesday, September 15.
