2.55pm: Police have confirmed a person has died at the scene of a vehicle fire west of Nelligen on Monday, August 3.

"Shortly after 1pm, officers from South Coast Police District were called to the Kings Highway at Nelligen, following reports a car was on fire on the side of the road," a police spokesperson told Australian Community Media.
"The sole occupant of the vehicle, who is yet to be formally identified, was declared deceased at the scene.
"Inquiries are continuing and no further information is available at this time."
2.17pm: A NSW Ambulance spokesman said a paramedic crew was sent to the scene at about 1.10pm after a report of a single-vehicle crash and fire on the Kings Highway.
2.06pm: Emergency crews have been sent to a vehicle fire 5km west of Nelligen.
The incident was reported to police shortly after 1pm on Monday, August 3.
Live Traffic reports traffic is affected in both directions and a crime scene has been established.
Motorists are warned police are directing traffic and to allow extra time.
