NSW Health has confirmed the case is in the Alpine/Aylmerton/Balaclava area. The area has had 10 cases.
A total of 3867 people were notified of their test results, with 456 people recently notified.
Active cases are locally-acquired COVID-19 cases with onset in the last four weeks.
This is based on the date the person first developed symptoms.
Meanwhile there are four active cases in Balmoral. The area has had six total cases.
NSW Health notified 3209 about their test results, with 363 people recently notified.
Details about whether or not the active case is linked to a current cluster or a returned traveller has not been confirmed by South Western Sydney Local Health District.
