You can head to the library for an author talk, to use maps for family history research, and access digital photos this month.
The Local Studies Team has released the story of Alphonso Karbehl's as part of the Oral History project.
"We have released Mr Karbehl's story to coincide with Family History Month. We would like to showcase the diversity in our family history collections and in the Goulburn community," Local Studies Officer Fran O'Flynn said.
Mr Karbehl came to Goulburn in 2009 after spending years in Buduburam Refugee Camp in Ghana to build a life he always dreamed about.
His journey from Liberia, West Africa to Goulburn was not an easy one.
On August 15, historian and author Tom Bryant will explore the Local History Map Collection, including parish and topographic maps, and explains how these maps can enhance research.
Library catalogue including maps, architectural drawings, oral histories, manuscripts, and digital photos will be available in the archives on August 13.
