Yass Tribune reader Lizzie McIntosh has sent in a photos of the rain at Cooma Cottage last weekend.
One photo offers a comparison of a paddock in February and August.
The February photo shows a dry brown grass while the August photo shows green grass and a body of water.

While this is a welcome sight for residents, there is still a drought in the Yass Valley.
According to the Department of Primary Industries, the area is still considered drought affected.
This is the third most serious level of drought, behind the drought and intense drought categories.
Meanwhile parts of the Goulburn Mulwaree local government area are drought-affected, while other parts are considered to not be in drought.
The rain is expected to continue in Yass this weekend.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, there is a high chance on showers on Saturday, most likely in the late morning and afternoon.
There is also a chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon.
The rain will continue on Sunday, with a medium chance of showers in the northwest and a slight chance elsewhere.
There will be light winds becoming westerly 15 to 25 km/h during the morning.
