They were the ArtExpress, local artist Freya Jobbins's new series Firewall and new curators from Mulwaree High School Jane Purcell and Rose Moor's selection for The Window.
Goulburn Regional Art Gallery education officer Sally O'Neil opened the exhibitions and explained what the ArtExpress was.
"This section features a selection of outstanding student artworks developed for the art making component of the HSC," Ms O'Neil said.
"Students are preselected for ArtExpress if they obtain a top band result and then assessed for their suitability for gallery display.
Each gallery has the opportunity to create its own ArtExpress show and Ms O'Neil had the opportunity to be a part of the selection process.
"I had the honour of selecting the works for this year's exhibition," she said.
"I was joined by a bunch of representatives from other galleries.
"We saw hundreds of artworks from students across the state, but had to cut them down to 25 works.
"What we wanted was a beautiful and cohesive work that showcased a broad spectrum of styles, concepts and forms."

In the second gallery, Freya Jobbins new series 'Firewall is on show.
Using mask as a metaphor, the work addresses taboo subjects and unspoken fears.
Based in the Wollondilly region, Jobbins has exhibited broadly across New South Wales, Western Australia and Victoria.
The final gallery is the window which is curated by volunteer supporters in the gallery's weekly Art Clubs.
The curators for this gallery are Mulwaree High School students Rose Moor and Jane Purcell and gallery director Gina Mobayed it was good to see youngsters get involved.
"These two young visual arts fanatics have been working with us and volunteering for years, so it is nice to see them turn their hand to curating," Ms Mobayed said.
"Their exhibition sees us continue to shine a light on our young curators in Goulburn."
Exhibitions will continue until September 26.
