The club held its first meeting back on July, 24 at the Goulburn Workers Club. The COVID-19 pandemic is the only time in the club's history that monthly meetings were not held, it celebrated its first anniversary on August 23.
Each month, until the pandemic, members visited a local hotel, cafe or place of interest within around an hour of Goulburn. In March, they visited the Loaded Dog Hotel in Tarago and learned about the history of the hotel and surrounding area from the licensee.
In an email to the Goulburn Post, Probus member Graeme Neil said, "a great time was had by everyone... one of [the] members expounding one of his many tales to the enjoyment of everyone."
Club benefits include, general club activities; quarterly Active Retirees Magazine; competitive travel rates for local and international travel and cruises; competitive travel insurance rates.
The Goulburn Combined Probus Club is open to all pensioners and retirees in the Goulburn region. They meet monthly on the fourth Friday, at 10:30am at the Goulburn Workers Club. The club will next meet on August 28, new members are welcome.
