Club president and player, David Albrighton, said the team's most recent win, 5-2 over the Stags FC on Saturday, was "probably the best we've played".
"Even though we haven't played our best, we've been getting results in the first few rounds," he said.
"On the weekend, despite the poor conditions, everyone played good soccer."
It was the Strikers' fourth consecutive win, and their first of the season over the reigning premiers.
Surprisingly, their best performance also came off the back of a fortnight without any training, as the recent floods meant they have been unable to take to the field in any capacity.
"It's been really hard, even though we haven't been able to play, we haven't been able to train either," Albrighton said.
"It's potentially going to open back up next week but we've essentially had three weeks with no training. This week we're training at Tully Indoor to get a bit of training in."
The lack of preparation in recent weeks proved not to be too much of an impediment for the Strikers, and Albrighton thinks this is due to the club's mentality.
"It's a bit more casual this year than it has been in the past," he said.
"Considering how we played on the weekend, it was one of our better performances in terms of game plan and attack and keeping control of the ball.
"One thing we've carried on even after a couple of years of not playing is that everyone's in it for each other. It's not all people about themselves, we're trying to do what's best for the team."
Albrighton also made a point of praising the players who were left out of last weekend's side.
"Being a local derby, everyone wanted to play and a couple of guys had to sit out," he said. "They didn't want to, but they put their hands up not to play, which was pretty big of them."
This weekend, the Strikers will look to keep their winning streak alive against the Wollondilly Soldiers, who are ranked second.
Albrighton expects this match to be one of the toughest of the year so far, but said the Strikers should claim another victory if they can keep converting their chances.
"We'll definitely have to be on top of our game, they've had some pretty good results," he said.
"We have a couple of players out this week as well so we have to make sure we fill those spots with people who do the job.
"I think certainly the first few weeks, our buildup was okay but it was the final killer instinct and our finishing that was the problem. We created a lot of chances but didn't really finish them."
The Goulburn Strikers will take on the Wollondilly Soldiers on Saturday, August 29, from 3pm at Cookbundoon 6.
