Councillor Stafford said he was grateful and honoured to be elected for a second time by his fellow councillors.
"I am definitely more honoured to take on the position, more than initially, to get that vote of confidence from my fellow councillors," he said.
He said the current seven-member council was "united" and "on the front foot".
"Going forward, we have the nuts and bolts here of a strong united team."
He also praised the support of Cr Searl and thanked the council staff.
