In A Grade T K Fun's Panthers team tops the ladder with eight points, followed by Richie Jiang's Eagles, Mark Soley's Tigers and Michael Turner's Rabbitohs, all on seven. Rod Blake's Eels trail on three points.
In round three, the Panthers defeated the Eels 6-5.
Panthers fill-in Mark Soley won three on the night, while another fill-in, this time for Eels, Jack Gray recorded two.
This match saw four five-setters as John Lees won over Bagas Ariza, Lachlan Bill beat Leon Jensen, Jensen defeated Ariza and Jack Gray edged Bill in a tough, hard-fought encounter.
The second match was also a close affair with the Eagles accounting for the Rabbitohs 6-5. Two five-setters went to Andrew Howlett over Robert McIntosh and Simon Jiang over Gerard Gray.
In round four, the first match was taken out convincingly by Michael Turner's Rabbitohs 8-3 over the Eels.
The best player for the Rabbits was Andrew Howlett, with three wins, and the match of the night went to Michael Turner who won 11-9 in the fifth set over John Lees.
The second match was a closer affair with Mark Soley's Tigers side sneaking home 6-5 against TK Fun's Panthers team. The most interesting rubber of the evening went to Lachlan Bill who defeated Chising Chung in four hard sets.
After four rounds, B Grade is led by Dave Manning's Dragons on 10 points, followed by Phil Fraser's Demons on nine, Wayne King's Sharks on eight, Sam Plumb's Jet Setters on seven, Elisa Chung's Pies on six, Dave Howlett's Bulldogs on five and John Gray's Storm on three.
In round three, the Jet Setters defeated Sharks 6-5 with Wayne King beating Nicola Fraser in four sets.
The Dragons overcame the Pies 6-5, as Dave Manning beat Elisa Chung in five sets.
Elisa then featured in another five-setter, this time coming out on top of newcomer Jacob Mauro. The final match went to Demons 7-4 over Storm with John Gray defeating Nicola Fraser in five sets.
Round four saw the Demons defeat the Pies with three five-setters going to Phil Fraser over Elisa Chung and wife Nicola and Siobham Scott over Isaac Mauro.
The Sharks defeated the Dragons 7-4 with both Jamie Miles and Wayne King beating Jacob Mauro in five.
The final match of the round was won by the Bulldogs 6-5 over the Storm.
Three five-setters featured as Dave Plumb overcame Luke McDonald, Dave Howlett over Dave Plumb and Luke McDonald over John Gray 12-10 in the fifth set.
The club would like to announce that it is going to conduct the AGM at the John Lees Centre on Monday October 26 starting around 6.1pm, all are welcome to attend.
A round of matches in both A and B Grade will be played after the AGM.
