At an official opening ceremony NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, state MP Wendy Tuckerman, NSW health minister Brad Hazzard and the newly appointed director of regional operations, Clare Lorenzen, addressed VIPs and the media.
The Premier said she "sleeps better at night" knowing Goulburn now had this facility.
She said paramedics could "focus on their jobs and not worry about outdated systems".
"Health services [in Goulburn] are taking a leap forward."
The new station on Bourke Street has replaced the 87-year-old Clifford Street station.
Ms Berejiklian thanked Goulburn paramedics and staff for their work and stressed the importance of supporting front line workers.
As part of her new role as director of regional operations, Ms Lorenzen said the new station was a "critical step in the delivery of high quality care in regional areas".
Ms Tuckerman said Goulburn staff "deserved to be working in facilities like these".
The new station includes internal parking for eight ambulances; administration and office areas; staff amenities; a multipurpose meeting/training room; logistics and storage areas and staff parking at the rear. There's also an indoor wash bay, a secure delivery room for couriers and CCTV cameras.
The new ambulance station was funded under the state government's $122 million Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program.
