Chairperson Rosemary Chapman said that people can register for the event and relay in small groups and is about every group making their own challenge.
"Mine is to wear a Relay For Life shirt for a month, others are hosting a small family barbeque, going for walks along the walkway, and doing laps in the backyard to name a few," she said.
"We are encouraging people to get involved as much as they want to or as little as they would like."
The orgainsers are going ahead with the ceremony which will be aired on the radio. Videos of the event will also be posted on social media.
Due to COVID-19, restrictions are in place and a different format is being implemented by event organisers.
"It's been tough for charities this year. We usually had a good rollup of people. The aim this year is to involve people doing it their way. So, we are calling it Relay Your Way this year," Mrs Chapman said.
She is encouraging people to register for the event which will be held on Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1.
"We look forward to everyone joining in and having a bit of fun for a good cause. Cancer doesn't stop. We are looking at providing funds so we can still do research and cure somewhere down the track," she added.
