The four students were officially inducted at an assembly on Friday, September 25 in front of all their peers, while the event was also streamed online.
Students first nominated themselves for prefect and wrote a little speech about themselves.
After that, the whole school voted for 14 prefects and from there, the prefects nominate the captain.
The next step was an interview with the deputy principal Ms Gorman and a speech to the executive staff.
From there, the executive and prefects voted.
Mackenzie said she applied for the role because she thought it was a great opportunity to represent the school.

The others added that it gave them an opportunity to give back to the school and to work with their peers and teacher.
Samuel said the leaders had already tried to have an impact.
"We're going to start off with a welcome at the school gates," Samuel said.
"We want to introduce ourselves and get everyone to be familiar with us."
Mitchell said there was definitely a lot to be learned from last year's captains.
"They were always mature and modest," Mitchell said.
"I liked that about them and I think I can take a lot of pages out of their books."
He wants to take a gap year after high school and said the role would give him more social skills and build his resilience and life skills.
The others also explained what their goal was after school and how being a captain would help them achieve it.
"I want to be a photographer and run my own business," Jane said.
"The role is really helping with my leadership skills."
"I want to work with history and museums," Mitchell said.
"I want to volunteer overseas with children in countries that need help," Mackenzie said.
"I was then hoping to go to university to do a business and legal degree."
The captains officially begin their duties from term four.
