The organising committee have decided to run a scaled back event, focused on sponsors who have supported the fundraising golf day over a number of years.
Twenty teams entered by sponsors will compete on Friday, November 27 and Goulburn Mulwaree mayor Bob Kirk said the event would be done with the larger goal of building goodwill and momentum for the 2021 event.

"Without the ability to gather participants as a group, and host a presentation following the event, we knew that we would not be able to run the Golf Day as normal this year" Cr Kirk said.
"The committee also discussed the prospect of asking businesses for sponsorship as we head into the Christmas period, after a year in which nearly everyone had their trading negatively affected in one way or another.
"We decided to focus on the opportunity to build on our relationships with existing sponsors, and look forward to bringing the Holcim Mayoral Charity Golf Day back bigger than ever in 2021."
Local business Goulburn Country Motors will be testing a new promotion this year, with the possibility of a car giveaway for a hole-in-one on the 8th at the Goulburn Golf Club.
Dealer David Albrighton said he hoped to make this an ongoing part of Goulburn Country Motors' sponsorship for future events.
"We've supported the Mayoral Charity Golf Day and the Goulburn Golf Club for a number of years now and this year we will have one of our newest vehicles, an MG ZS up for grabs on the day for anyone who can nail a hole in one on the 8th," Mr Albrighton said.
"We're locally owned and operated and we love supporting the community that supports us so well in return."
Expressions of interest for beneficiaries of the 2021 Holcim Mayoral Charity Golf Day will be called for in the first half of next year.
