Scott was one of three young signings to the club, alongside Charles M'Mombwa and Yianni Nicolau.
Though all three are in their early 20s, they have amassed impressive resumes so far. Scott was previously signed with Perth Glory and Wellington Phoenix, while M'Mombwa is a former Central Coast Mariner and Nicolau has played for English League 2 outfit, Salford City.
A Macarthur FC statement released on Friday said the club is "delighted" to have signed the three youngsters, who have been training with the squad for the past month.
They were selected for Macarthur FC after impressing head coach Ante Milicic, who is eager to see what they bring to the table next season.
"Over the past couple of months, I've been impressed in the way all three men have applied themselves on and off the training pitch," Milicic said.
"I've worked with Walter previously with the Young Socceroos at the 2018 AFC Under 19 Championship. It's great to give another local lad an opportunity and to represent the area.
"Charles and Yianni have both shown their willingness to continually learn from some of the experienced players in our squad. They will all benefit greatly from being around the first team on a regular basis."
Scott was humbled by the interest from the club, and is eager to get on the pitch and make his hometown proud.
"This is a real privilege for me to join and represent a club that is related to my home area," he said. "To be able to play in front of family and friends is a great honour.
"Working with Ante again is a real opportunity to better myself not only as a footballer but as a person.
"The opportunity to work with the experienced players in the squad like Milligan, Federici and linking back with my former Glory team-mate Ivan Franjic pushes me to take the next step in my career."
Macarthur FC is officially affiliated with both the Highlands Soccer Association and the Southern Tablelands Football Association, along with a number of other associations in the region.
The club will make its debut in the 2020/21 season, with home games to be played at Campbelltown stadium.
