Three men accused of producing illegal tobacco have pleaded guilty.

The men appeared before Goulburn Local Court on December 2 in relation to 1.9 tonnes of illegal tobacco grown at a property in Dalton earlier this year.

Co-accused Muhammad Razali, 29, of Cabramatta, Mohammad Shahudin, 27, of Erskineville, and Mahmoud Ibrahim, 59, of Granville, pleaded guilty to manufacturing tobacco.
In court, Magistrate Geraldine Beattie said the charges related to "producing tobacco leaf that had not been subjected to any process, or had been just subjected to curing the leaf as stripped from the plant, weighing 500 kilograms or above" between May 1 and 14, 2020 at Dalton.
The three-men will appear before Goulburn District Court on February 1, 2021 for sentencing.
