That was until Friday and Saturday, November 27 and 28 when Goulburn Mulwaree Council turned Carr Confoy Oval into one.
Goulburn Mulwaree Council's events officer Angela Remington said having to change the format of the annual Pictures and Popcorn in the Park event to a drive-in due to the pandemic could have been a blessing in disguise.
"It was amazing to be able to put on something for the community that was COVID safe, " Ms Remington said.
"It was very hot conditions and everyone adapted quite well.
"We sold 80 per cent of our tickets which was great.
"Based on the feedback we have received, 100 per cent of people said they would attend again."
Patrons were treated to a double dose of movies on both days, with Scoob and Bohemian Rhapsody on the first and Spies in Disguise and Ride Like a Girl on the second.
