Goulburn Grief and Bereavement Support Group offers support to those affected by grief and gives them a chance to connect with other people with similar experiences.
Headspace Goulburn service manager Gail Davies feels that the group will give people an opportunity to talk about what they are struggling with.
"When people share their stories with others, that in itself can be quite healing because they may not have talked about it to anyone else about what they are going through," she said.
"This group is not restricted to those who may have lost their loved ones to suicide. Anyone grieving the loss of their loved ones in any manner can be a part of the group.
"When people come together, they are connected by a common thread of grief and loss. That in itself may help because there are others who might understand what someone else in a similar situation might be going through."

A similar group started in Crookwell last year where it's being run by those experienced in working with people affected by grief.
"We found a number of people were coming along regularly," she added.
There were plans to launch the group in Goulburn as well but the plans were put on hold due to COVID-19.
The support group meeting will be held on second Tuesday of each month starting February 9 starting at 6pm at Workspace 2580, 65 Clinton Street in Goulburn. People of any age group can be a part of it.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, call Gail Davies on 0439 070 747 or email gail4rc@yahoo.com.
The group is being launched by the Goulburn and District Suicide Prevention Network in partnership with R.J. Sidney Craig Funeral Directors.
