Mr Mani said of their results, 16 per cent were band fives and 47 per cent were top three bands.
"We're quite pleased with the HSC results. Given the circumstances - Covid disruptions and things like that, students have performed quite well," he said.
"I want to thank the teachers for their work in supporting the students and I wish the students all the best because it's about them being successful in their life. I'm very confident that we have prepared them very well to face the challenges of this complex and dynamic world."
Mr Mani said students performed particularly well in Community and Family Studies (CAFS), Visual Arts, PDHPE and Music.
Holly C, who will be studying medical science at Western Sydney University next year said she was "very happy" with her HSC result.
"I got three band fives, a band four and nearly got a band six," she said.
"It was quite stressful but we still made the most of it so I'm glad. I'm a bit sad leaving but happy to move on to bigger things."
Another student Kyle agreed it has been a "tough year" for students in 2020 but he too was "content with the results".
"I expected what I got. It was a very tough year but as a year group we pulled through it. It was definitely an experience to go through," he said.
Kyle said he would take the next year off to work before starting a Bachelor of Media and Communications at the University of Canberra.
