"We would like to provide financial grant to school leavers who are motivated and goal orientated but require assistance."
The foundation has been operating in the Goulburn and district area for 17 years and has provided grants to over 400 local school leavers, distributing over $400,000 provided by local and corporate sponsors, semi-government plus individual and company groups.
The application process ends with an interview by the panels which comprises Country Education Foundation of Goulburn and District committee, involving a wide range of people from all parts of the local community.
Committee member Charlotte Sutherland feels that it is a good opportunity for students to help them pay for necessities required for further education. "It can help take some pressure off financially so that they can enjoy their life as a student," she said.
"Don't hesitate to apply for a scholarship. We are welcoming and friendly and want to hear about what you'd like to achieve."
You can apply online by visiting the website of Country Education Foundation Goulburn and seeking out the application form, or visit the umbrella body - the Country Education Foundation of Australia and apply.
One can also visit Boyce Chartered Accountants in Montague Street in Goulburn and request a form.
