However, his concerns were soon put to rest after he moved here early last year and has been a part of the community ever since.
"Moving to Goulburn was a big shift for me initially after living in Sydney for years. However, people here have been very warm and the community has been welcoming and now I feel that I have made the best decision," he said.
Shortly after Parth relocated in 2020 and before he could settle down, the coronavirus pandemic broke out and cities went into lockdown. "That was a challenging time for me as I did not know anyone here. Like most people, I was working from the confines of my home. Since the restrictions have eased, things have become much better," the 28-year-old said.
"After I started going out more, I soon realised the entire city feels like home. People are lovely here and it's a nice community. Unlike Sydney where I would drive for over an hour to work everyday, I now walk to my office. Also, living in a big city like Sydney, you miss the human connection. Living in Goulburn has been a refreshing change from that."

The 28-year-old said that the place has most of the facilities of big cities. "For some things, you still need to drive to Sydney or Canberra but it is easier to do that due to the close proximity to these cities," he added.
Parth moved to Goulburn in January 2020 and has been working with a local accounting firm.
