These local heroes visited on January 13 as part of the club's school holiday program. Paramedics taught the kids how to phone 'Triple Zero' 000, how to put someone in a recovery position and other skills ahead of a first aid course on Friday.
The school holiday program runs until January 22 from 9am to 4pm on weekdays.
All children from five to 12 years old are welcome. Cost is $35 per day or $260 per week.
Activities include:
- Friday, January 15 - First aid for kids (additional $20) and active games
- Monday, January 18 - Orienteering and crafty kids
- Tuesday, January 19 - Rock climbing and minute to win it
- Wednesday, January 20 - Meet a hero and fun with Lego
- Thursday, January 21 - The big read bus and self defence
- Friday, January 22 - Meditation and active craft
