With the bushfire season usually running well into April, members of the community are urged to keep their Farm Fire Plan and Bushfire Survival Plan in place and be especially careful not to create sparks on hot days.
Remember all fires need a permit from your local RFS.
The NSW Government has released its discussion paper into Coastal Harvesting rights prior to Public Consultation and submission of the review commencing early 2021.
The Local Government Amendment (Rating) Bill 2021 (the Exposure Draft of the Bill to implement the NSW Government's response to IPART's review of the local government rating system), has recently been released for consultation.
NSW Farmers is supportive of further farmland rating subcategories but holds concerns around the creation of a new rating category for environmental land, and will provide a response raising these and any other issues.

The NSW Government is consulting on a tax reform to allow property purchasers to choose either to pay stamp duty or apply a property tax option that replaces the up-front payment with an ongoing annual charge.
Members are encouraged to complete the survey.
