The decision to cancel the event was taken at a Crookwell AP&H Society meeting held on January 19.
An official statement was released by the organisers which cited safety concerns as one of the main reasons behind the difficult decision.

"The main concern is the safety and well being of local residents. As the show always attracts people from all areas near and far which we perceive to be untenable in this current climate," the statement reads.
"We hope to stage a series of smaller agriculture based events between now and Christmas in a reduced format to fill the gap in our show calendar. These events will be very community minded, encompassing both agriculture and pavilion based events including our schools and local community groups."
Crookwell Show is one of the many country shows that have either been cancelled or are going ahead in a different format in the wake of the pandemic.
The Crookwell Picnic Race Committee has cancelled the annual Binda Picnic Races to be held in March this year.
"With current and ever-changing COVID-19 restrictions on numbers attending the event and numerous other restrictions, we could not proceed," a statement issued by the committee states.
The annual event is usually attended by hundreds of people who travel interstate to attend the community event.
Meanwhile, Yass Show has been reduced to a one-day event instead of being held over the weekend.
"The 2021 Yass Show will be a one-day show only, due to COVID-19 restrictions and requirements. Unfortunately, there will not be a PBR Bullride at this year's Show," the statement issued by the organisers reads.
