Tristan better known as his stage name, T the Kid, and his brother Jerome, also known as 11radion, have combined to produce a powerful song called "I Refuse".
T the Kid said the song's inspiration came from recent world events and he wanted to use his passion for writing to spread a message.
"I have a passion for writing lyrics," T the Kid said.
"I had the opportunity to record with James Guida and really enjoyed recording the song.
"The song was inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement and the death of George Floyd.
"I thought it would be a good time to get involved and write a song."
11radion said it's always great recording music with his brother.
"We really tried to put ourselves into the shoes of the people out there suffering," 11radion said.
"The lyrics cut deep into emotions. I really enjoy making music, but I was feeling really empathetic for the people going through it."
While in the booth, as much as the musicians love to make music, this was a difficult song to record due to the subject.
"Most of the music I create is happy music," T the Kid said.
"This song is meaningful and was much more difficult to record. I did enjoy recording it though."
"I Refuse" will be released on Friday, February 5, and the duo couldn't be more excited.
"I'm really excited for the song's launch," 11radion said.
"I hope it does well and hopefully it will make a difference."
"I'm also really excited for the song to drop," T the Kid said.
"It will be available on all your favorite streaming services and also YouTube."
