Melting Pot Theatre Bundanoon is calling for submissions for the first round of Crash Test Drama 2021.
Crash Test is a short play competition that aims to create good-quality, 10-minute, original plays with local actors.
Melting Pot Theatre Bundanoon have been running Crash Test Drama since 2012.
"It is a fun, supportive opportunity for writers, actors and directors to hone their craft," said director Bronwyn Beard.
"It is also an entertaining night out for local theatre lovers to view original plays performed live in Bundanoon."
Anyone is eligible and encouraged to submit a play for this program. The youngest ever writer/director was just 16 years old and the oldest well into their 70s.

They have had comedies, dramas and everything in between, so if you have every wanted to try your hand at writing a short play now is the time to dust off that old note book and get writing.
"Last year when we couldn't have a live audience in the theatre we took our plays online to make sure all our creatives had something to keep them going throughout lock down," said Ms Beard.
"The program was very successful and well received by our audience. Luckily by December last year we were able to hold our gala final and present the eight best plays of the year to a sold-out audience."
Now with COVID restrictions easing in NSW the theatre is able to welcome their audience back into the hall for this round of Crash Test Drama.
Submissions for round one of CTD 2021 are open until March 1. The selected eight plays will then be performed on Saturday, March 13 at the Bundanoon Memorial Hall. Anyone interested in acting can come along at 2pm on the day to cast in a play with the performance to go ahead at 5pm that evening.
The two best plays from each round of CTD will then go onto to be produced and staged at the Crash Test Drama gala final in November of this year.
