Clean Up Australia Day 2021

Everyone is being asked to 'step up to clean up' for Clean Up Australia Day Sunday, March 7. This year, Goulburn Mulwaree Council is helping people clean up public areas by providing disposal for waste collected during local Clean Up Australia Day activities. Any group or organisation wanting to organise a clean-up at their hall, park or community space can either register as an official event with Clean Up Australia Day or contact council on (02) 4823 4417 to let us know in advance that you will have waste to dispose of. The waste will be collected at Victoria Park near the exercise equipment from 9am to 11am.Anyone wanting to help out by cleaning up around Victoria Park can also join in. It is preferred if people can use their own gloves and bags, however a small number of these will be available for use. For more information visit www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au

Brought to life by an amazing all-female cast, crew, band and production team, featuring an incredible double-cast, many of whom are mothers themselves.

Ladies Creativi-Tea

Combining our annual Girl's and Ladies' Nights In, we are inviting all women to come to the Library with a friend, mother, sister or daughter for a fabulous and fancy afternoon of fun! There will be opportunities to enjoy activities such as jewellery making, creative arts, and biscuit decorating. Participants will also have the chance to enjoy a relaxing mindfulness session. Afternoon tea will be provided.
Bondi2BlueMtns - Ride to Remember

The Bondi2BlueMtns Ride to Remember is a four day charity bike ride taking place from March 6-9 (postponed from September 2020). The ride is an extension of the annual Bondi2Berry ride one day ride, the inaugural ride which started in 2016. The objective is to raise awareness of dementia and fundraise to help research a cure for dementia. Combined fundraising since the 2016 has exceeded $500,000 and in 2019 a research project called Cage vs Age, which hopes to halt the spread of tau protein in the brain was fully funded through this ride.The Bondi2BlueMtns ride will depart Bondi and travel north west to the Blue Mountains, and returning to Sydney via Goulburn and Kiama. There will be two groups of 20 riders taking on the challenge, riding a total distance is 650kms with an elevation of over 8,000m.
March 7 is the Lithgow to Goulburn leg and the group will travel 210km and 3,200m elevation with arrival in Goulburn approx 5pm. Monday, March 8 is the Goulburn to Kiama leg and will cover 155km and 1,800m elevation, departing from Goulburn Approx 7.30am. By the time the groups reach Goulburn they will have already cycled an elevation gain of nearly 2/3rds the height of Mt Everest in just 2 days.
The best vantage point to see the group as they ride into Goulburn is at North Park on Chantry Street. Give a wave or a clap in support of a great cause and an amazing effort.How can you be involved?
