The Rhinos shut the Bull Dogs out 7-4, as James Turner survived a tough five-setter against a very determined Robert McIntosh. This match also witnessed a classic five set victory by Jack Gray over super veteran John Lees.
The final match went to Eels over Eagles 7-4 with Simon Jiang winning a crucial five set encounter over Gerard Gray.
The second round of the B Grade Table Tennis was also held recently.
It saw The Pies defeat the Demons 7-4 with Elisa Chung beating Phil Fraser in four sets.
The Storm shut down the Dockers 8-3 with Dave Plumb having a good night with two five set wins over Nicola Fraser and Luke McDonald. Nicola later had a good five set win herself, over Harry Mavrolefterou.
The Sharks downed the Jet Setters 7-4 with Wayne King triumphing over Sam Plumb.
The final match went to the Dragons over the Doggies 6-5 with Dave Manning defeating Dave Howlett in five sets and newcomer Jacinta Bill taking out Kev Fitzgerald in four.
