The campaign theme for 2021 is 'Choose To Challenge'. A challenged world is an alert world. And from challenge comes change.
On March 8 female officers from the Hume Police District will join councillor Carol James and other business-women in a walk and coffee along Auburn Street to raise awareness. The walk will start at Belmore Park in the morning and everyone is invited to join and show their support.
Later on, Wendy Tuckerman MP and police officers will be in Belmore Park after lunch for a chat about the significance of the day and the challenges women still face. Constable Stacey Peters will lead the events with the assistance of prominent female leaders in the region.
