Many took in the Rotary markets in Montague Street as well as the council-organised Makers and Designers (MaD) markets at the Goulburn Waterworks. The latter attracted well over 800 people.
The Our Living History Festival, promoting the area's history, the Taralga Show and Celebrating our Streets Gathering in Crookwell were also among the smorgasbord of social options.
More than 50 stallholders set up in Montague Street early on Saturday to kick-off the weekend.
They included Goulburn Mulwaree Council's Youth Mentoring Program team cooking up a storm on a barbecue. They and partners, the Goulburn PCYC, Headspace and Mission Australia, are raising funds to send youths on a 126km trek of the Larapinta trail in July. The Northern Territory walk will take seven days and also include a Uluru cultural experience.
Organisers are still looking for business sponsorship. Those interested can contact the council's youth services coordinator, Luke Wallace via the main switchboard - 4823 4444.
Meantime, Peter Granger's wingless sprint car attracted plenty of onlookers at the markets.
The Grangers Freight Lines owner was promoting the Wingless Sprint Race, in honour of the late Peter Craft, at the Goulburn Speedway on March 27.
The race will be held over 86 laps and carry more than $20,000 in prize money. Gates open at 3pm and racing starts at 5pm.
Also at the markets, well known local musician Ron McLaughlin created a relaxed atmosphere with his entertaining Irish songs, ahead of Saint Patrick's Day.
The Goulburn Rotary Parkside Market is held on the second Saturday of each month between 8.30am and 1.30pm.
