In Upper Lachlan Shire, the following roads were closed as of 11.45am Tuesday:

- Back Arm Road at first crossing;
- Pejar Road at first crossing;

- Brayton Rd from Bannaby Rd to the other side of Swallowtail Pass;

Junction Point Rd (Main Road 54) had also been closed at Burnt Hut Gully. The MR54 is a main road to Bathurst and Orange.
"Council crews will continue to monitor our roads and areas of concern," a spokesman said.
"Any wet weather can make unsealed roads muddy, slippery and boggy and motorists are asked to drive to the conditions and adjust speed accordingly. If you see a flooded/damaged road that has not been reported please give the council a call on 4830 1000 and let us know."
"With the rain predicted for today please remember to not drive through floodwaters or drive around 'Road Closed' signs. It's difficult to assess how deep and fast water is when it's moving over a road. The road surface under the water may be damaged or there may be debris, or the water level may be rising. It's not worth risking your safety, or the safety of those who may need to rescue you."
Update on road closures can be found at the councils' emergency dashboards on their websites.
Meantime, SES Argyle Local commander Robert Bell said rivers in the Goulburn area were holding steady. The level at Lansdowne Bridge had only risen from 1.56 metres to 1.69 metres overnight but water under Murrays Flat bridge had risen to 2.38 metres since 3.30pm Monday to 9am Tuesday. It was still sitting two metres below the structure.
The level on the Wollondilly River near Towrang Bridge was also rising fast.
Mr Bell said 70 to 80mm was forecast for this area over 24 hours.
The downpours have kept SES crews on the hop since Thursday with 18 call-outs. The majority of these were leaking roofs but Goulburn personnel assisted Upper Lachlan SES with a flood rescue at Wombeyan Caves on Sunday.
Two campers have been trapped there for two days but Mr Bell said it was impossible to reach them by land.
"They are fine but we were unable to land a helicopter there yesterday. They will have to wait until the water subsides," he said.
The SES is expecting only low-level flooding for Goulburn itself. It currently has reconnaisance teams in the field, flood rescue teams on stand-by and its incident centre in Lanigan Lane is open.
Mr Bell said the rain was expected to taper off late this afternoon at the earliest and overnight at the latest.
In related news, local teams are expected to receive requests this week to assist SES crews in flooded areas up north.
