- Observational Drawing - It will be held on Thursday, April 8 from 10am-12:00pm. Cost is $35. This workshop will equip you with foundational drawing skills important for any artist to have in their arsenal. Translating 3D objects to a 2D drawing is tricky. Sally will teach you how to first look for simple geometric shapes and lines to help lightly 'map' your image to achieve accurate proportion. Then explore various techniques to create texture, detail and form. For this exercise we will be drawing still life. Objects will be provided but participants are invited to bring along something to draw if they wish.
- String Art - It will be held on Friday, April 9 from 10:00am-12:00pm. Cost is $35. Transform your drawings into a cool string art piece! We will start by brainstorming some designs on paper. Select your favourite and translate your design into dot markers on tracing paper (it will look like a join the dots image!). Your tracing paper will be your guide to add your push pins to the board. Then the fun part! Wind coloured string around your pins so your image emerges! Voila! Bookings can be made direct with the Gallery or via Eventbrite.
- Girl Power Tees - The event will be held on Thursday, April 15 from 10:00am-2:00pm. Cost is $50. In partnership with Girl Tribe Goulburn Find some confidence and make some new friends (and a t-shirt!) in this all day workshop hosted in collaboration with Girl Tribe Goulburn. What gives you power and helps you feel confident? Is it being around supportive friends and family, listening to your favourite music, moving your body or something else entirely!? Learn what it is that helps you cope with life's tricky moments with Jess of Girl Tribe Goulburn and then translate your ideas into a design with Sally. Use your choice of art making materials to create your design. This will be copied and printed onto iron on transfer paper. Participants must supply their own lunch. Please let us know your t-shirt size at the time of booking.*Due to the nature of this workshop, we will be accepting enrolments from girls only. We apologise for any inconvenience.
