The former Trinity Catholic College student has been awarded the Westpac Young Technologists Scholarship valued at $15,000 over five years.
The 18-year-old is currently studying Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Wollongong and plans to use the scholarship amount to fund her education at the university.
She is passionate about designing and building innovative systems and hopes to bring a transformation to the renewable energy industry.
"Mechatronics Engineering is a mix of electrical, mechanical and robotic engineering. It is important in the field of renewable energy and gives me a broader base for pursuing a Masters degree in renewable energy in the future," she said.
Zoe wants to make a positive impact on the environment and for her, it could be as simple as planting trees on her family farm or being a part of the renewable industry.

"If I am able to find another opportunity in the field of technology that can make a bigger impact on the environment, I'd be inclined to work on it," she said.
After winning the scholarship, she will also be eligible to participate in a mentorship program that will help her develop her skills. "It also provides opportunities for paid scholarships that will help me be a part of the industry at an early stage," she said.
She will also be eligible to take part in a Disruptive Leaders Program, which focuses on personal and professional development and includes an overseas excursion to Singapore.
