The historic Fireside Inn remains on the market.
About seven people were at the auction for the Market Street restaurant on Saturday, April 10, but no bids were made.
The auction, led by auctioneer on the day and real estate agent Carol James from Carol James Real Estate Goulburn, was intended as a walk in walk out sale.

The contract for the building on 607 square meters of land was prepared by local solicitor Mark Bradbury.
One of the conditions was that the successful bidder would have to pay a 10 per cent deposit.
The building contains two flats above the 75-seat restaurant and current owner James Booth said he was making $7000 on rental.
There is also a bar, commercial kitchen, cold room, storage and a shop space at the front with potential to lease separately.
The building is heritage listed, so there could be restrictions as to what could be done to the front of the building.
Ms James is hoping to sell the Goulburn landmark for just the fourth time since its 1934 construction.
She told The Post last month there was interest in the building.
"We've had a lot of out-of-town enquiry, mainly from Sydney people asking what they could do with the property," Ms James said.
"There's been lots of talk about wine bars and continuing its use and most people are considerate of the building's heritage and tone."
Since there were no bidders, the property will stay on the market after Ms James and Mr Booth work together to come up with a set sale price moving forward.
