From the start, the riders headed up the steady climb along Wombeyan Caves Road to the Greenhills Road turn for another steady climb before the fast descent off Mount Misery.
There was another climb to the Old Hume Highway at Berrima, a short descent to the base of Bendooley Hill and the fast run back to the start line before starting a second lap. The second lap finished with the gruelling climb of Bendooley Hill to the finish line at the summit.
A small contingent of Goulburn riders signed up. The club's top A Grade riders - Cameron Roberts, Jacob Emmerton and Callum Emmerton - competed in Division 1A.
As expected, the racing was close throughout the race with the final climb of Bendooley Hill sorting out the final places. Rhys Clarke (Camden) took out the win followed by Goulburn locals Roberts and Emmerton.
There were no Goulburn riders in Division 1B and Division 2A but, Peter Thorne, Wayne Skillman, Peter Lucas and Chris Berry represented the club in Division 2B up against a strong contingent of 13 Camden riders.

Berry launched a Jens Voigt-like attack after the first climb opening up a commanding solo breakaway. For over a lap, Berry lead the chasers until finally being caught just before the summit of Mount Misery on the second lap by Stephen Dos Santos (Illawarra) and Chris Fairall (Camden).
The three worked together but the elastic finally broke for Berry on the climb to the Old Hume Highway and was soon hauled in by Robert Picken (Camden).
The Bendooley climb proved again that the strong climbers would prevail. Dos Santos crossed the line in first place followed by Fairall. Picken took out third place and team mate, Robert Calladine (Camden) pipped Berry at the line for fourth place.
The next round of the Interclub series will be hosted by Goulburn on the Old Hume Highway at Gunning on May 8.
Next Saturday, club racing is on Windellama Road for an Individual Time Trial. Sign on is at the corner of Windellama Road and Brisbane Grove Road by 1.45pm with racing to start at 2pm. New riders are welcome.
