Well, now's your chance to show some regional pride and push the beloved historic town to the top of a statewide poll aiming to find the best little town in NSW.
Berrima has been selected as a finalist in the inaugural NSW Tourism Industry Council Top Tourism Town Awards in the under 5,000 residents category.
And now it's up to online voting to see who takes out the top spot, with only seven days to spread the word.
Voting closes on Friday, May 14.
"This is fantastic news and recognition for the community and businesses of Berrima," said Steve Rosa from Destination Southern Highlands, who were responsible for the nomination.
"Enormous work is done by regional towns to attract visitors, all in support of their local businesses and economies, and this has been a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge and reward that work."
Berrima is up against 25 other towns, including Berry, Kangaroo Valley and Mogo.
The process for shortlisting was highly competitive, with editorial, images and video content submitted, along with a three to four day tourist itinerary.
The editorial element paints an idyllic picture of Berrma's charms:
"A pair of platypus frolic in the Wingecarribee River as the early morning sun peeks over the majestic English pine and oak trees of historic Berrima. The aroma of coffee drifts through the main street to wake and tempt the early morning visitors and residents as they casually meander and explore the bygone days of this postcard town. Historic Berrima is an enchanting place to rekindle your romantic flame whilst discovering nature, shopping, food, wine and enchanting stories of days gone by with your loved one. It's also one of the friendliest places that you've (n)ever been to."
Winners will be announced by the NSW Minister of Tourism Stuart Ayres at the NSW Local Government Tourism Conference on Thursday, May 27, with the winners then representing NSW in the National Tourism Awards later in the year.
