Adding to its importance, this will be the 50th anniversary of the Cystic Fibrosis Goulburn and District not for profit charity.
Their treasurer Sylvanna Aliffi said the event, held at the Workers Club auditorium on Saturday, May 29 at 7pm, would be an emotional one.
"The night will start with the song '65 Roses' before a tribute will be conducted for Jake Apps who passed away due to the disorder," Ms Aliffi said.
There will also be a tribute to former CF committee member Sheridan Wood who passed away due to the disorder last week.
The song is named after a child who heard the name of his disease for the first time and pronounced it as '65 Roses'.
Special guests on the night include Goulburn Mulwaree Council mayor Bob Kirk, founding member of the charity Julia Laybutt and long time committee member Trish Groves.
Ms Aliffi said the night was the charity's fundraiser each year, but they also held barbecues at Bunnings to help achieve their ultimate goal.
"Our main goal is to find a cure for the genetic disorder," Ms Aliffi said.
"Our role in the community is to support local families impacted by cystic fibrosis in any way we can.
"We normally help with medical and travel costs.
"We're always wanting more volunteers."
The newest patients diagnosed with the disorder are referred to the cystic fibrosis clinic at Canberra Hospital, so some of the funds raised will go there as well.
To support the cause, head over to the Workers Club auditorium on May 29 where there will be plenty of auctioning, music and dancing.
Tickets are $50 and include a two course meal.
They can be bought at the reception desk of the Workers Club.
