This month we enjoyed lunch at the Goulburn Soldiers Club where we held our May meeting, with 27 members and guests and apologies from two members.

The Welfare group visited Judith Roper and it's good to hear that Jenny Townsend is improving.
We remembered members who are not well and wished a happy birthday to Jenni Aubrey and Carol Olsen.
Raffles were won by Geraldine Hunt and Judy Coe; Robyn Cummins had the lucky programme and Belinda Rankin and Pam Hagan had lucky door numbers.
It was decided to hold a 50/50 raffle to raise funds for our club so we can continue to sponsor our Learning For Life students.

As our funds are diminishing it would be appreciated if raffle prizes could be donated by members in the future.
The committee have arranged a special menu for Christmas in July and they have assured will be delicious.
Guests are welcome to attend.
This month, our guest speaker was Robyn Bible who entertained us with her tips on growing pelargoniums and geraniums, which she has been growing for at least 47 years.
Pelargoniums flower spring and summer, have lots of varieties from miniatures to long tall ones and the best time to cut them back is March and April.
She is also a member of Rotary and spent 3 years as Director for International.
She talked about "Shelter Box"' for disaster areas overseas, as having somewhere dry and warm to sleep, to prepare meals and be with your family is vital for starting the long process of rebuilding your life.
"Shelter Box'' teams work with disaster-hit families around the world, offering emergency shelter and other essential items to support them in rebuilding their lives.
Every disaster is different and so is every community, so they spend time with those affected to make sure they can offer the right support at the right time to help them recover.
Robyn also told us about ''Interplast Australia & New Zealand'' who send teams of volunteer surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses and allied therapists to developing countries in the Asia Pacific Region to provide free surgical treatment and medical training.
We thoroughly enjoyed listening to Robyn and she was presented with a gift of thanks by Carol Olsen.
Everyone enjoyed our last social outing with a visit to the Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum with lunch at the Greengrocers afterwards.
Our next social outing will be lunch at K & G'z at midday on Thursday, May 20, so let Margaret Gooch know if you are attending by 7pm Monday, May 17.
Our next meeting is Thursday, June 5 at 11.30am at the Goulburn Soldiers Club.
Cost of lunch will be $27.
There will be a trading table at the June meeting and if you wish to donate items for this, speak to Joan Scott and let her know what you can bring.
